Golf Cart Service
Rationale
The MUIC campus consists of several buildings, including three (3) parking areas that are located in different areas of the Mahidol Salaya campus. A golf cart service was made available to enable staff and students to travel between the MUIC buildings and parking lots. These golf carts use electric batteries, a source of clean energy that emits no pollution, thus friendly to the environment.
Objectives
1. For the use of staff, students and visitors of university
2. To reduce the use of personal vehicles in traveling between buildings
3. To effectively manage the central parking area
Methods Providing golf cart services to three (3) routes:
1. MUIC Building 3 to Car Park 1
2. MUIC Building 3 to Car Park 2
3. MUIC Building 3 to Car Park 3
Van Service
MUIC has several sub-divisions outside the Salaya campus, such as the commercial building at Salaya market, Sathorn City Tower, Green Park Dormitory and Chaiyapruek Dormitory. Travels of staff and students between each location using their own vehicles can result in wasted energy, time and cost. To address this, MUIC provides a van service for students, faculty and staff. Services can be requested at the Physical and Environment Unit.
