MUIC Holds Orientation for 180 Exchange and Visiting Students

Mahidol University International College (MUIC) welcomed 180 inbound exchange and visiting students who enrolled in Trimester 1, AY 2022-23 and gave them an orientation on MUIC policies along with useful tips on living in Thailand on September 7-8, 2022, at the Auditorium, MUIC Building 1.

This is the first time in two years that MUIC held an on-campus orientation due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The foreign students hailed from different countries including Australia, Austria, Brunei, Canada, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan, The Netherlands, U.K., and U.S.A.

Prof. Chulathida Chomchai, MD, MUIC Dean, gave the welcome speech and provided general information on how to stay safe and healthy while studying in Thailand.

Asst. Prof. Dr. Alexander Chabot Nanni, Associate Dean for International Affairs, MUIC lecturers and staff members gave presentations that would be useful for the international students including MUIC’s academic policies and student services along with a crash course on Thai language and culture.

Afterwards, the students watched a Thai cultural show at Siam Amazing Park, Bangkok.

The Student Exchange Unit organized the event.
