Mahidol University International College’s Model United Nations Club (MUICMUN) reaped major awards at the ChulaMUN Conference 2025 held in Chulalongkorn University held from May 16 to 18, 2025.

Six students confidently stepped into the conference and tackled global issues, playing the role of delegates of United Nations member-countries. This event was aimed at helping participants learn about international relations, negotiations tactics, the art of diplomacy, and how to reach goals through understanding and cooperation.

In the sixth year of ChulaMUN Conference, delegates tackled topics with the theme of “On New Technologies: Control or Be Controlled?” which challenged students on how much governance should be placed over technology and its development.

With two committees at hand, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), delegates had to discuss issues including cyber-attacks, safe usage of space technologies, ways to protect youth from digital tools and also improvement of digital literacy.

Towards the end of the conference and after three days of navigating through conflicting interests and numerous consensuses, the MUICMUN Club emerged with five awards, including Best Delegate, Best Observer, and Honorable Mentions.

The MUICMUN Club congratulated all delegates, expressing pride at their achievements.
