Mahidol University International College’s (MUIC) Rakkaew Club organized a field trip to Baan Tam Sue Village, Phetchaburi province on February 25, 2024.

The 24 participating students delved into Thailand's cultural tapestry during their trip in the Thai countryside.  The village offered a window into Thai traditional crafts and cultural practices.

The highlight was a workshop where students crafted “thong muan,” a favorite Thai dessert known for its intricate preparation. The students also learned the traditional method of making salted eggs, gaining insight into age-old preservation techniques.

In harmony with the village's agrarian roots, students planted seeds under the guidance of local farmers, fostering an appreciation for sustainable farming practices. The excursion not only broadened students' cultural horizons but also instilled a newfound respect for heritage crafts and agricultural traditions. As they returned to MUIC, they carried memories and insights that will enrich their understanding of Thailand's rich cultural heritage.
