Student clubs have always been essential in making Mahidol University International College (MUIC) a thrilling place to study and club activities can prove to be an amazing adventure for students who wish to find their passion aside from studying.

With that in mind, say “Aloha!” to the “Som-O Aloha Club Expo”! The Student Association of MUIC (SMO Som-O) held its first club exposition of this academic year, from September 25 to 25, 2024, at the Ground Floor of Aditayathorn Building.

This trimester’s theme was tropical and “Hawaiian-esque,” giving participants a relaxing feel, where you can be transported to a tropical island accompanied by mellow tunes, wondrous dances, and unforgettable performances. That being said, in collaboration with four of MUIC’s clubs: The AGC (Animations, Games, and Comics Club) with its performance numbers, the Theatre Club with its variety of musical pieces, the Dance Club with their exciting dance numbers, and the Music Club giving us all that mellow and thrilling tunes to listen throughout the event.

The event recorded a turnout of over a thousand participants who joined and became introduced to the various and diverse clubs MUIC has to offer. Aside from enjoying the warm atmosphere, SMO Som-O provided a game for a chance to win rewards and to redeem free ice cream to soothe their thirst brought about by the hot weather.

Everyone left the event more knowledgeable about the student clubs and with a newfound interest in their hearts and a smile on their faces, thanks to the loveliness and tenderness that each and every club had shown, making the participants buoyed up with a new sense of euphoria.
