The International Student Committee (ISC) of Mahidol University International College (MUIC), together with the Student Association (also known for its Thai acronym SMO) celebrated the vibrant spirit of Diwali with an illuminated event that brought together over 350 participants from diverse backgrounds at the Ground Floor, Aditayathorn Building on November 8-9, 2023.

Activities included diya (lamp)-making, rangoli-making workshop, free laddu desserts, henna painting, trivia challenge, and Indian singing and dancing performances, all of which showcased the beautiful culture of India, with a special emphasis on embracing the traditions of Diwali.

A highlight of the celebration was the active participation of most of the Indian students in MUIC, who passionately shared their culture with fellow students and faculty members. The event fostered a sense of unity and understanding among the diverse community, transcending cultural boundaries. The Diwali celebration at MUIC not only lit up the campus with candle lights but also kindled a sense of joy and unity that will resonate within the university's community for years to come.
