For an institution of higher learning founded more than three decades ago, Mahidol University International College has come a long way. It is now recognized as the leading international college in a public university in Thailand, noted for its liberal education and diverse and international environment. MUIC’s modest beginnings and its continuing success in meeting challenges serves as an inspiration.

1986
ISDP: Forerunner of MUIC
The Mahidol University Council officially endorses the formation of an International Students Degree Program (ISDP) with seven major offerings in the Sciences and Travel Industry Management.
1992
New Building and Majors
ISDP officially dedicates its new building, which can accommodate 486 students, and introduces two additional majors in Business Administration and Food Science and Technology.
1996
Full-fledged Faculty
With approval from the Mahidol University Council, ISDP is officially designated Mahidol University International College (MUIC), giving it the full weight and stature of a faculty.
1998
MUIC Continues to Grow
A six-story complex is completed in order to accommodate over 1,000 students. A new managerial style is also introduced, in addition to an expansion of academic offerings, additional internships, including the Salaya Pavilion Hotel and Training Center, a pre-college program and the formation of offices that addresses both student and alumni needs.
2017
Breaking New Ground: Aditayathorn Building
MUIC inaugurates its newest facility, Aditayathorn Building, named in honor of Her Royal Highness Princess Aditayathorn Mahidol who is also a distinguished alumna.
2018
30 Years and Beyond
More than three decades after its establishment, MUIC currently offers 17 undergraduate majors in Arts, Sciences, Communication Arts, Engineering, and Business Administration, along with two master’s degree programs, for approximately 3,000 students.
