On November 10, 2023, twenty-six MUIC students engaged in the “IC Excursion: Ban Bang Plab Community Learning Adventure.” Organized by the Student Affairs Office’s Student Development Unit. The event held at Ban Bang Plab Community Learning Center in Bang Phrom, Bang Khonthi District, Samut Songkhram Province. It aimed to provide students with insights into the unique lifestyle of the Ban Bang Plab community.
Participants explored the community’s history and actively participated in four booth activities, encompassing coconut sugar production, traditional Thai sweets, and local food preservation.
Providing students with hands-on learning experiences outside the classroom, broadening their understanding of diverse cultures and lifestyles, strongly aligns with SDG 4 – Quality Education. Moreover, it also associates with SDG 11 – Sustainable Cities and Communities as the event encouraged students to appreciate and contribute to the preservation of local traditions, promoting sustainable practices within communities.
