Energy Saving Committee Holds “Happy Green Day”

The Energy Saving Committee of Mahidol University International College (MUIC) held “2nd Happy Green Day” on December 1, 2023 coinciding with Thai Environment Day.

The event aimed to raise awareness of environmental issues among students, faculty and staff members, as well as promote a happy workplace. The event included two activities: “Happy Green Market” and “MUIC Green Challenge.”

Dr. Laddawan Jianvittayakit, Associate Dean for Environment and Sustainable Development, gave the opening remarks during the opening ceremony held at the activity area, Ground Floor, MUIC Building 1.

The event corresponded with Mahidol University’s Green University policy and the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The activity also aimed to share information about waste management and also encourage staff members to practice waste segregation. The last activity of the event was a quiz competition about waste management and giving of donations.

Swimming, Cycling, and Running Toward a Quiet Mind

On August 22, 2026, I completed my first IRONMAN triathlon in Tallinn, Estonia: a 3.8 km swim, a 180 km bike ride, and a 42.2 km marathon. It took me 11 hours and 35 minutes. While one of the perks of finishing an IRONMAN is the right to brag, that isn’t the point of this post. The point is that MUIC supported me in achieving this personal goal through the 40th Anniversary Academic Changemakers Scholarship.
