Mahidol University (MU) was invited to Thammasat University’s (TU) first ever undergraduate-level board game tournament on October 28-29, 2023 at Thammasat University Rangsit’s campus.

Each participating team consisted of nine players that competed against 15 other teams in nine different games.

The first day was the qualification round and the semi-final and final rounds were held on the second day. The one and only MU team, consisting of a mix of MU and Mahidol University International College (MUIC) students, ended in 5th Place.

Nevertheless, this competition really gave the Board Game Club a new view of board game circles in universities. From being confined within MUIC circles, the club’s scope was expanded to university level and then, through this event, to inter-university level.

The club expressed its thanks to TU for organizing such a fun and well-done tournament. It also thanked MUIC for sponsoring the registration fees and transportation.
