The Diving Club at Mahidol University International College (MUIC) guided aspiring scuba divers through essential underwater skills during a Theory and Pool Session at BB Marine Scuba Diving & Boating in Bangkok on March 7–8, 2026.
The intensive two-day program prepared students enrolled in Open Water and Advanced Open Water certification courses for their upcoming ocean dives.
Day one commenced with comprehensive classroom instruction covering scuba equipment fundamentals, underwater safety protocols, dive planning procedures, and essential communication signals. Armed with theoretical knowledge, students then transitioned to the pool for practical application, practicing critical skills including regulator breathing, mask clearing, buoyancy control, and underwater signaling.
The second day focused on skill refinement and confidence building. Open Water students concentrated on mastering foundational techniques, while Advanced Open Water participants tackled more sophisticated maneuvers and precision buoyancy control.
Under the supervision of experienced instructors and MUIC Diving Club staff, the session provided invaluable hands-on experience. This training milestone prepares students for the next phase: Open Water and Advanced Open Water ocean certification dives scheduled for the coming weeks.
