MUIC Holds Talk on Sustainability, Competitiveness and Brazilian Agribusiness

The Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) Program of MUIC welcomed on February 22, 2023 Ms. Ana Carolina Miranda Lamy, the Agricultural Attaché for Thailand, Cambodia, and Laos at the Embassy of Brazil, as a guest speaker in the course on Market Structures and Pricing Strategies, conducted by Asst. Prof. Dr. Isabel Pereira Rodrigues.The guest lecturer addressed the topic “Competitiveness and Sustainability: Lessons from the Brazilian Agribusiness.” Taking the Brazilian agribusiness development during the last decades as a case study, Ms. Miranda Lamy focused on how to remain relevant and successful in competitive contexts and during challenging economic times. Special emphasis was given to the role of technology innovation and adoption, territorial management, integrated production systems and circular economy towards sustainable bioeconomic practices.The talk included an engaging discussion with the participants, who were particularly keen on knowing about best practices that could also be applicable and valuable in the context of Thai agribusinesses.MUIC said that it very much appreciates Ms. Ana Carolina Miranda Lamy’s contribution and looks forward to welcoming her again soon.
