To provide a valuable experience for participants to learn Western dinner setting, the THM Club organized On the Table: Fundamental Table Setting, held on June 13, 2024 at Room A235, Exhibition Hall, Aditayathorn Building.

This workshop familiarized the nine participants to Western table settings, something that is perfect for all students who are seeking to enhance their hospitality skills and social graces.

Under the mentorship of Prof. Songkran Klomsook, participants learned the proper use of  various tableware and gained a practical understanding of basic table manners through hands-on practice in groups. The students also acquired the skills to confidently set a table for both informal and formal occasions. This engaging workshop helped the participants to elevate their dining experiences, leaving every individual with a newfound confidence and an e-certificate to commemorate their participation.

The club expressed its thanks to the participants and reminded everyone to watch out for more engaging activities by the club this trimester.

Swimming, Cycling, and Running Toward a Quiet Mind

On August 22, 2026, I completed my first IRONMAN triathlon in Tallinn, Estonia: a 3.8 km swim, a 180 km bike ride, and a 42.2 km marathon. It took me 11 hours and 35 minutes. While one of the perks of finishing an IRONMAN is the right to brag, that isn’t the point of this post. The point is that MUIC supported me in achieving this personal goal through the 40th Anniversary Academic Changemakers Scholarship.
