The Muay Thai Club of Mahidol University International College (MUIC) organized weekly Muay Thai boxing sessions on-campus from November 11 to December 9, 2022 at the ground floor, MUIC Building 1. It was the first time that a series of training sessions have been conducted since the first Covid-19 lockdown.

The boxing sessions were taught by Mr. Peter Denman, a professional Muay Thai boxer and MUIC alumnus. The activities in the sessions included warming up stretches, Muay Thai techniques demonstrations, body conditioning, light sparring between participants and cool-down stretches. The boxing sessions successfully gained interest from both full-time and exchange students of MUIC and the number of participants (21 people) have exceeded the club’s expectations. The club hopes to further promote Muay Thai self-defense techniques that can be used in daily life and opportunities for participants to work out and maintain a fit lifestyle.
