Mahidol University International College’s (MUIC) Nature Lovers Club organized “Season of Giving with Second Chance Bangkok” as a way of giving back to the community during the holiday season from October 24 till November 24, 2023.
MUIC students, staff, as well as lecturers took part in this donation drive. Students brought in many items such as clothes, toys, kitchenware, computer accessories, books and stationeries. These items were donated to an NGO called Second Chance Bangkok which will then upcycle these donations for the slum community in Khlong Toei.
Nature Lovers Club said it is glad to be the bridge between MUIC students and Second Chance Bangkok to give hope to these groups of people for a new life during the holidays. Many participants hope that the club will continue further activities like this in the future as well as host workshops on how to upcycle materials that are no longer used.
