Mahidol University International College’s (MUIC) Animal Lovers Club came up with an extra-curricular activity entitled “Stay Pawsitive” to help students de-stress after the long grueling weeks of preparing for the midterm exams.

The money that the students helped the club raise by participating in the earlier “Bag to the Bone” activity was used to buy goods to donate to The Man That Rescues Dogs Foundation (TMTRD), Chonburi on November 4, 2023.

Donation items like food and other supplies help the organization since it does run on donations. The 16 student participants in “Stay Pawsitive” showed support to the foundation by painting its building’s walls all while their fluffy friends kept them company and checked on their work.

After painting the dog cages, the participants learned about the organization’s history and the background of some of the dogs they met. They also went for a walk with the wheelchair dogs. This activity also taught participants the quality of life of street dogs in Thailand and how they are mistreated. The volunteers also learned how they can help if ever they encounter a mistreated or injured dog.  The students did a good service to the dogs by getting them to socialize and interact with kind people to prepare them better for adoption. The dogs were very happy to be able to make new friends and the club said it hopes that the participants feel the same way.
