After a long day of study, it sure is difficult to stay focused when you’re hankering for a meal or a drink. The Student Association (SMO Som-O) of Mahidol University International College (MUIC) provided a timely solution by organizing a 2-day “Food Fair” held at the Ground Floor, MUIC Building 1, from November 26 to 27, 2024.

The fair featured a wide array of culinary vendors, showcasing diverse food options from local street foods to a taste of international cuisines, making it a celebration of the diverse culinary traditions represented within the university community.

With live entertainment and musical numbers performed by “Auskeedoes Kuska,” one of the bands in the university, brought a festive mood to the fair. In addition, games and an eating competition were also held with students from other Mahidol University faculties joining in the fun as they competed with MUIC students. At the end of the event, a lucky draw was held to grant rewards to participants who attended the two-day event.

With over a thousand attendees from all over Mahidol University’s Salaya campus, the Food Fair was a resounding success, offering something for everyone while highlighting the importance of exploration of new flavors, supporting local businesses, and enjoying an interactive social experience. It brought students and staff closer through shared experiences and delicious meals, demonstrating that food can be a powerful medium for connection.
