Mahidol University International College (MUIC) and global engineering giant Bosch Thailand have forged a new partnership aimed at bridging the gap between academic theory and real-world industry practice.

The collaboration, formalized by a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed on May 8, 2026, will create new opportunities for students and faculty in research, internships, and hands-on learning. The signing ceremony took place at MUIC’s Aditayathorn Building and was attended by officials from both organizations.

Leading the signing were Prof. Chulathida Chomchai, MD, Dean of MUIC, and Mr. Joseph Ngo Hong, Managing Director of Robert Bosch Thailand, alongside Assoc. Prof. Chanida Hansawasdi, Associate Dean for Research and Academic Services of MUIC, and Ms. Janice Ng Hui Eng, Managing Director of Bosch Rexroth Thailand.

Dean Chulathida emphasized that the agreement will not only create professional opportunities for faculty members but would also directly enhance the student learning experience by connecting them with a leader in technology and services.

Looking ahead, I am excited about what more we can achieve together through expanding internship opportunities for our students, advancing company-related and joint research, facilitating meaningful industry exposure, and strengthening knowledge exchange through guest lectures,” she stated during the event. "The potential of this partnership is both broad and deeply meaningful."

The partnership underscores a shared vision for fostering innovation and sustainability. By combining MUIC’s academic rigor with Bosch’s industry leadership, the initiative aims to cultivate a new generation of leaders equipped to tackle complex, interdisciplinary challenges.
