On August 31, 2026, Mahidol University International College (MUIC), in collaboration with the Faculty of Dentistry and the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University, welcomed first-year students from the International Doctor of Dental Surgery and International Bachelor of Pharmacy programs to the orientation program, “Beyond the White Coat: The Gateway to Global Experience.”
The event was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yingyot Chiaravutthi, Associate Dean of MUIC; Assoc. Prof. Bundhit Jirajariyavej, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry; and Assoc. Prof. Surakit Nathisuwan, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, together with administrators and faculty members from all three units.
Organized by the MUIC Eventorium Club, in collaboration with the Curriculum Management Unit, Strategy and Academic Development Group, and Education Division, the program was designed to help new students confidently transition into university life, connect with the MUIC community, build friendships, and discover opportunities for learning, student engagement, and international experiences.
Guided by the vision of “Building the Global Health Sciences Community through meaningful connections, collaboration, and student engagement,” the initiative aims to foster connections among international health sciences students and encourage future collaboration and knowledge exchange.
The orientation also serves as a pilot project for developing a welcoming model for international health sciences programs, with the potential to expand to international medical programs and other programs in the future. At the same time, MUI
C Eventorium Club members gained valuable experience in leadership, communication, and teamwork, demonstrating the important role students can play in building an inclusive and globally connected learning community.
