After a year of trying out new events, the International Student Committee (ISC) has returned for another round of Sawasdee International, an event many students of Mahidol University International College (MUIC) love because of the opportunity to make new friendships.

Held on May 23 - 24, 2024 at Charinyarasami Hall, Aditayathorn Building, 102 participants showed up during the 2-day event, enthusiastically hoping to be integrated into the MUIC community. This was accomplished through highly interactive and integrating activities that gave the students the chance to bond with each other and develop a sense of teamwork.

Events held were “Ice Breakers,” “Human Knot,” “Dragons Cave,” “Charades,” “Kings Game,” and the main event, the “Scavenger Hunt.” These games were incorporated into Sawasdee International in order to promote inclusivity and an altruistic mindset, two of the values that MUIC upholds.

Sawasdee International also provided food and drinks during snack breaks. The organizers gave gift bags with little key chains to everyone as a thank-you gift for joining the event. Many participants expressed appreciation for the event and gave valuable suggestions for future iterations of Sawasdee International.

Overall, the organizers said participants enjoyed their time at ISC’s Sawasdee International event and ISC expressed thanks to everyone for their participation and hopes to see them again in succeeding events.
