On March 18, 2026, the Aditayathorn Building’s ground floor was transformed into a vibrant hub of international cuisine as the International Student Club of Mahidol University International College (MUIC) hosted a hands-on cultural food workshop.

The event, which focused on the art of making Indian kathi rolls and refreshing boba tea, drew a massive turnout of 104 students.

The workshop offered more than just a meal; it provided a deep dive into culinary techniques with each student independently kneading their own dough. This tactile experience allowed them to master the specific textures required to create the perfect wrap—a fundamental skill in authentic kathi roll preparation.

Once the wraps were ready, students were able to customize their creations using a variety of prepared fillings. This balance of guided instruction and personal preference ensured that every participant could tailor the dish to their own palate.

The atmosphere remained lively and interactive throughout the afternoon. As students compared dough consistency and shared filling combinations, the event successfully turned a cooking lesson into a social bridge, fostering new friendships among the diverse student body.

Organizers noted that the workshop aimed to build both kitchen confidence and cultural appreciation.
