On August 5, 2026, Associate Professor Dr. Yingyot Chiaravutthi, Associate Dean of Mahidol University International College (MUIC), led a delegation of MUIC executives and representatives from Gulf Binance Co., Ltd., headed by Dr. Korn Poonsirivong, Chief Strategy Officer and Director of Binance TH Academy at Gulf Binance Co., Ltd., and Director of AI Business Management at Gulf Edge Co., Ltd., in a meeting with Professor Naeti Suksomboon, Pharm.D., Ph.D., PFHEA, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Mahidol University.
Held at the Office of the President, Mahidol University, Salaya Campus, the meeting focused on strengthening educational collaboration between Mahidol University and Gulf Binance.
The meeting followed an initial discussion between MUIC and Gulf Binance on June 11, 2026, which explored opportunities to equip students with knowledge and skills in digital finance through General Education courses. Building on that discussion, the latest meeting expanded the scope of collaboration to include enhancing AI literacy and preparing graduates with the competencies needed for an AI-driven future.
Key areas of potential collaboration included curriculum development, Cooperative and Work-Integrated Education (CWIE), and special projects. These initiatives will be coordinated by Mahidol University’s Center for Life-integrated Learning, with MUIC serving as the pilot faculty in launching the collaboration through a workshop scheduled for the beginning of Academic Year 2026.
The meeting also provided an opportunity for both parties to exchange ideas and explore strategic directions for future cooperation. Joining the meeting from MUIC were Assistant Professor Dr. Chompunuch Pongjit, Associate Dean for Educational Affairs, and Assistant Professor Dr. Patsarin Rodpothong Wongkamhaeng, Associate Dean for Strategic Planning and Quality Development.
Following the meeting, the Gulf Binance delegation visited MUIC’s Aditayathorn Building to tour its facilities and inspect the venue in preparation for upcoming collaborative activities.
