MUIC Partners with Bitazza Thailand to Strengthen Digital Asset Education and Industry Readiness in Thailand

Mahidol University International College (MUIC) has recently entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Bitazza Thailand, a leading digital asset brokerage in Thailand, to deepen the integration of digital finance and blockchain technology into its academic programs and student experience.

The partnership centers on preparing students for careers in the rapidly evolving digital asset sector by connecting classroom instruction with real-world industry practice. It spans curriculum development, hands-on learning opportunities, and public outreach with direct engagement from with Bitazza Thailand’s ecosystem.

The initiative sits within MUIC's BA Finance major program under the leadership of Dr. Aman Saggu, whose research focuses on crypto-economics and banking, and was developed in close collaboration with Ms. Sirada Traijakvanich, VP of Business Development at Bitazza Thailand and an alumna of MUIC's BA Finance major program. The team driving the collaboration also comprises Dr. Thanarerk Thanakijsombat, who specializes in international finance and the Lightning Network; Dr. Nassim Dehouche, a computer scientist with expertise in operations; and Dr. Alessandro Stasi, a leading scholar in blockchain law.

Key aspects of the MOU include:

  • Curriculum Enhancement: Embedding applied knowledge of digital asset trading, cryptocurrency markets, and related industry practices into selected MUIC courses, while ensuring that teaching content reflects current market developments and operational insights.

  • Expertise Learning: Offering structured internship programs through Bitazza Thailand that give students direct exposure to digital asset exchange operations and related business functions, strengthening professional skills and industry readiness.

  • Educational Outreach: Co-hosting workshops, public seminars, and expert-led sessions designed to share practical and theoretical knowledge of digital assets with students and the wider community.

Mr. Tanawat Sutuntivorakoon, CEO of Bitazza Thailand, commented: "Thailand's digital asset landscape is maturing, and the demand for professionals who understand both the technology and the regulatory environment is growing. This partnership with MUIC allows us to contribute directly to developing that talent pipeline by bringing our operational experience into an academic setting.”

Prof. Chulathida Chomchai, MD, Dean of MUIC, stated: "This MOU expands the pathways through which our students gain exposure to the digital economy.
