Nearly 80 student-athletes took to the field on January 7, 2026, all competing for a coveted spot on Mahidol University International College’s (MUIC) soccer team. The high-stakes tryout was organized by the MUIC Sports Club (Soccer) to scout the top talent needed to represent the university at a major upcoming tournament.
The goal was clear: to build a powerhouse squad for the prestigious International University Cup (Intercup), held on January 21, 23, 28, 30, and February 4, and 6, 2026, at Chulalongkorn University.
Coaches and club officials guided the hopefuls through a demanding series of drills testing their passing, dribbling, and shooting. The session culminated in intense scrimmages designed to assess tactical awareness and on-field decision-making under pressure.
Club officials emphasized that the selection process was built on fairness, giving every candidate an equal opportunity to prove their worth. Players were judged on a combination of individual skill, teamwork, and overall potential, ensuring a strong, cohesive team would be ready to take on their rivals.
