The Preparation Center for Languages and Mathematics (PC) welcomed Chiba University staff member Ms. Arisa Oikawa, who participated in the Chiba Staff Exchange Program from August 30 to September 19, 2026. The program aimed to foster cross-cultural collaboration and professional growth between the universities. It also provided a valuable professional opportunity for staff members to share their work experiences and best practices.
On September 14–16, Ms. Oikawa took part in a series of activities at PC, including the New Student Orientation for Q4/2026, a meeting with the Director of PC, and an introduction to PC work practices, including an overview, admissions procedures, and international student services. She also observed a PC2 Writing class taught by Ajarn Henry Pfister, the PC2 Coordinator. In addition, she shared details of her experiences of working at Chiba University with PC and MUIC staff as part of the exchange of operational knowledge and ideas.
The exchange not only benefited the Chiba University staff but also provided PC staff and teachers with new insights and opportunities to share their best professional practices across departments and countries. This program enhanced participants’ understanding of workflows and the roles of its units while strengthening the relationship and cooperation between the partner universities.
