Mahidol University International College’s (MUIC) Investment Club held the MUIC Trading Challenge from May 13 to June 19, 2025 at Aditayathorn Building in order for students to experience the world of trading by using a website called the Investopedia, a simulator that people can use to practice trading using real data and prices.

Club members along with Asst. Prof. Dr. Kanix Bukkavesa, CFA, a faculty member of the Business Administration’s Finance Program, explained to the participants the mechanics of the challenge while also teaching them about basic indicators of trading.

Each team in the competition was able to trade in whichever way they want with a starting fund of $100,000 in simulated money on Investopedia. Each week, the rankings of each competing team were posted on the Investment Club’s social media platform to keep the participants updated on their respective positions. The club was also regularly posting news that may have an effect on the stock market.

Earlier, on May 7, 2025, the club put up an MUIC Trading Challenge Promotional Booth beside the 7-11 convenience store on the Ground Floor of Aditayathorn Building to drum up support for the competition.
