CDP Faculty and Students Attend Design Across Culture Week 2025

Several Communication Design Program (CDP) students and their mentors were invited to participate in the “Design Across Culture Week 2025,” held on December 8-9 and 11-12, 2025 in Chulalongkorn University.

Mahidol University International College’s CDP partnered with Chulalongkorn University (CU) and Temasek Polytechnic, Singapore in organizing this event which aimed at promoting learning and exchanging design knowledge in a cross-cultural context.

The CDP faculty members who joined the event were Asst. Prof. Dr. Dynaya Bhutipunthu, Dr. Ploy Nikadanont, and Ms. Napatt Piyawongwatthana,

Speakers from CU, MUIC, Temasek Polytechnic, Singapore, and professional designers from Poland shared their knowledge. The participating students attended workshops on topics that included, “Typography Textures” and “Handmade Book” (zine – making), and others.

These activities provided students with opportunities to learn through hands-on practices, tell stories, and reflect the identities of different neighborhoods in Bangkok through creative design processes. They also had the opportunity to create their academic networks and embrace diverse cultural differences, in line with UN SDG4 (Quality Education), SDG10 (Reduced Inequality), and SDG17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
