MUIC Strengthens Student Opportunities in Shenzhen, China

Mahidol University International College (MUIC) executives Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yingyot Chiaravutthi, Associate Dean and Chairperson of the Global Engagement Advisory Committee; and Asst. Prof. Dr. Kanat Tangwongsan, Assistant Dean for Corporate Communication and Information Technology, visited Shenzhen, China from August 28 to 30, 2025 to strengthen ties with two of China’s most prestigious institutions—Tsinghua Shenzhen International Graduate School (Tsinghua SIGS) and Peking University HSBC Business School (PHBS)—while also joining the 2025 AI Competency Training Symposium (ACTS).

At Tsinghua SIGS, discussions highlighted pathways to master’s programs, co-advising, and research internships for MUIC students in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and Applied Mathematics, providing high-impact academic and research opportunities with international exposure. At PHBS, the visit focused on enhancing student exchange in the business field.

The executives also joined the 2025 ACTS, organized by Tsinghua SIGS, where leaders from Belt and Road universities exchanged strategies on AI-driven education and talent development. The visit concluded with site tours at Sangfor Technologies and Lumi United Technology (Aqara), showcasing industry partnerships and experiential learning opportunities for students.
