Four outstanding students from MUIC Case Club led the Mahidol University International College (MUIC) team to win 2nd Place Overall in the prestigious Amsterdam Case Competition 2025 held from March 12 to 18, 2025 in The Netherlands.

Representing MUIC on the global stage were Anne Boonyasuppayakorn, Enrico Soetanto, Tuangkwan Bussarakumvadee, and Yatip Phumchan, accompanied by their faculty advisor, Asst. Prof. Dr. Thanarerk Thanakijsombat.

The competition welcomed 12 top-tier universities from around the world, including institutions from The Netherlands, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Ireland, Canada, the United States, Norway, Portugal, Switzerland, and Thailand. Teams were divided into three divisions of four, engaging in high-intensity business case challenges that mirrored real-world corporate scenarios, demanding critical thinking, collaboration, and strategic decision-making.

The MUIC team delivered a commendable performance across both rounds of the competition. The first round featured an 8-hour business case on Amazon, testing participants’ ability to analyze, develop, and present actionable solutions under tight time constraints. MUIC rose to the challenge, demonstrating sharp problem-solving skills, effective communication, and strong teamwork.

The second round introduced a highly demanding 24-hour case on Samen, a leading sustainable and innovative provider of elderly healthcare in The Netherlands. This round was designed to assess each team’s endurance, depth of insight, and strategic thinking. MUIC excelled once again, emerging as the 1st Place Winner in their division—a testament to the team’s unwavering dedication, cohesive collaboration, and outstanding analytical capabilities.

As a result of their impressive showing in both cases, MUIC secured 2nd Place overall in their division, marking a significant achievement that reflects their consistency, resilience, and ability to thrive under pressure on the international stage.

The club extended its heartfelt congratulations to the team members for their achievement and for representing MUIC on the international stage with pride and excellence.
