Blood is important on many operation tables and many hospitals need blood in their reserves to be able to accommodate patient who require blood transfusion. The Student Association of MUIC (SMO Som-O), in collaboration with Siriraj Hospital, held a blood donation activity on October 15, 2024 at A235 Exhibition Hall on the 2nd Floor of Aditayathorn Building.

Many participants invited friends and fellow students to come and donate blood to aid those in need. In addition, SMO Som-O gave out lovely and cute stickers to those of different blood groups. A turnout of 117 students and staff donated blood for the benefit of Siriraj Hospital ensuring a steady supply of blood, demonstrating Mahidol University’s Core Value of Altruism, contributing to community service while raising awareness of the importance of blood donation.

SMO Som-O expressed its thanks to those who joined with the greatest of gratitude and wish the very best to Siriraj Hospital as they continue to save many more lives with the helping hand from students at Mahidol University International College.
