Two of Mahidol University International College’s (MUIC) student clubs, namely, Sigma Club and the American Chemistry Society (ACS) Chapter, organized a laboratory introductory session to high school students on November 8, 2025 at Room 3504, 5^th Floor, MUIC Old Building.

The purpose of this activity was to allow high school students to see how the chemistry theories they learned at school are applied. This activity also gave the students a chance to gain hands-on laboratory experience and see chemistry in action. The laboratory activity consisted of acid-base titration and trace iron analysis using an absorbance spectrophotometer.

A total of 10 high school students from various schools participated in the activity, with each of them receiving a certificate of completion. The participants who were able to answer questions correctly were given MUIC souvenirs. They said that they really enjoyed the lab introduction and lab activities as they have never done these before. Sigma Club and MUIC ACS Chapter officers said they hope to organize similar activities in the future.
