As the 1st Trimester wound down, the Animations, Games, and Comics Club (AGC) Club of Mahidol University International College (MUIC) decided to lighten the mood. It organized an online comic drawing contest featuring the 4-Koma style from Japan from October 31 to November 19, 2024. What’s that? It’s a comic strip with either 4 vertical panels or 8 panels, where two sets run side by side, perfect for quick, witty jokes!

This event encouraged everyone to let their creativity shine, not being bounded by artistic skills. The MUIC AGC club was excited to show all 42 submissions that it had received. Participants of varying skills joined and shared lots of funny gags, bringing smiles to the MUIC community. It was a great break before the stress of final exams.

The winners include:
1. Nannapat Manyou (ICCT)
2. Pimchanok Parungwataseth (ICBI)
3. Tanadol Chuntarasupt (ICCI)

Celebrating the winning entries, Nannapat's "Shaman" soared to the esteemed 1st Place position, showcasing mesmerizing depictions of mystical spirit animals in a wordless yet intricately designed, fully colored 4-Koma. The 2nd Place honor was awarded to Pimchanok's "Potion Mishaps," drawing inspiration from Haikyuu, while Thanadol's "The Forbidden Spell" claimed the well-deserved 3rd Place accolade.

The AGC club isn’t done yet—it is planning more of these creative contests to keep the fun going and encourage thinking outside the box!
