The Badminton Club of Mahidol University International College (MUIC) has officially wrapped up its weekly practice sessions for the term, reporting record-breaking engagement and a highly successful season. Held every Monday and Thursday from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Figure Sports, Salaya, the sessions ran from March 4 through June 18, 2026.
Designed to provide a welcoming, low-pressure environment for students, the practices drew a staggering total of 96 participants over the course of the term. Organizers highlighted a massive influx of first-year students, particularly from batch ID 688.
To maximize playtime within the strict two-hour venue limit, sessions were structured primarily around double matches, keeping court wait times to a minimum. Despite resource limits on court space and shuttlecocks, organizers successfully ensured that every attendee played at least three to five matches per session.
Overall, the feedback has been incredibly warm and positive, according to a club representative. The only consistent critique from the student cohort was a desire for even longer sessions, with many requesting three-hour practice blocks. Club organizers have indicated that expanding court hours will be a primary point of discussion during logistics planning for the next trimester.
