Student competitor Tate Lee took 1st Place at the MUIC Chess Tournament 2026, leading a field of 32 players during a daylong competition held on June 17, 2026 in Aditayathorn Building.
Organized by the Board Game Club, the event brought together beginners and experienced players in Room A235 for multiple competition rounds running from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.
Lee earned the 1,200 Baht top cash prize, while Lin Thet Nyi Thu secured 2nd Place (800 Baht). Supadol Techasothon and Baramee Chanakulnanon placed third (500 Baht) and fourth (300 Baht), respectively.
