Mahidol University International College’s (MUIC) Table Tennis Club (TTC) recently hosted a delightful "Doubles Day" event on September 28, 2023, from 4:00 to 6:00 pm. In promoting the doubles format of table tennis, the event proved to be an enlightening and enjoyable experience for everyone involved.

The atmosphere at the venue was electric with excitement as members of varying skill levels formed impromptu partnerships at the tables. The emphasis wasn't on fierce competition but rather on sharing the joy of the game and fostering connections within our community.

A key feature of the event was a casual workshop that provided insights into the rules and tactics of doubles play. Our experienced players and staff demonstrated essential skills such as serve rotation, positioning, and teamwork. This accessible session helped attendees of all skill levels understand the subtleties of doubles table tennis, sparking lively discussions and practice games.

The event's informal nature fostered a friendly and inclusive atmosphere. Newcomers and seasoned players alike mingled, exchanging tips and reveling in the excitement of playing together. It was a day marked as much by laughter and shared stories as by the rhythmic clacking of balls and the swoosh of paddles.

“Doubles Day” was a resounding success, significantly enhancing our members' understanding and appreciation of doubles table tennis. It reinforced our commitment to nurturing a community where everyone feels welcome and where our collective love for the game continues to grow.
