Mahidol University International College (MUIC) and Salaya One Innovation Space jointly organized “Body in Love,” an engaging event held under the framework of the Higher Education Sandbox program.

The initiative, held on March 18, 2026, aimed to create a dynamic space for learning, collaboration, and community participation while showcasing Mahidol University’s excellence in health sciences. The event also served as a celebration of the value of health awareness and the advancement of medical knowledge.

The opening ceremony was presided over by Prof. Piyamitr Sritara, MD, FRCP, President of Mahidol University (MU). He was joined by Prof. Chulathida Chomchai, MD, Dean of MUIC, together with MUIC executives and representatives from partner faculties and institutes across the university.

Key participating partners included MU’s College of Sports Science and Technology, Faculty of Medical Technology, Faculty of Physical Therapy, and Institute for Technology and Innovation Management (iNT), along with the Institute of HIV Research and Innovation (IHRI), reflecting a strong network of interdisciplinary collaboration.

The event featured a series of knowledge-sharing sessions and health-focused activities designed to translate scientific expertise into practical insights for participants.

One highlight was “Built to Perform: The Science Behind a Strong Body,” presented by experts from the College of Sports Science and Technology and the Faculty of Medical Technology. The session explored effective exercise techniques, performance optimization, and preventive health screening.

Another session, “Spine Code: How to Care for Your Spine and Stay Away from Office Syndrome,” led by specialists from the Faculty of Physical Therapy, offered practical guidance on spinal care and posture for modern lifestyles.

Participants also gained entrepreneurial insights from “Wellness Creates Wealth: Health Businesses that Begin with Small Ideas,” a case study presented by a young MUIC alumnus entrepreneur, illustrating how innovative wellness concepts can grow into impactful business ventures.

In this collaborative initiative, MUIC played a key role in managing and overseeing the overall implementation of the event, ensuring a seamless integration of academic knowledge, innovation, and community engagement. Through “Body in Love,” Mahidol University continues to reinforce its commitment to promoting health, innovation, and lifelong learning.
