Ms. Nicha Poolphoka, an alumna of the Communication Design Program (CDP) at Mahidol University International College (MUIC), was honored as an Outstanding Young Thai Woman 2026 under the theme "Preserving Thai Identity for a Sustainable Future."
Ms. Wimonsiri Hemtanon, Associate Dean for Student Affairs at Mahidol University International College (MUIC), together with Asst. Prof. Dr. Dynaya Bhutipunthu, Chair of the Fine and Applied Arts Division, congratulated Ms. Nicha on August 1, 2026 for her notable achievement.
The award was jointly organized by the Ministry of Culture, the National Council of Women of Thailand under the Royal Patronage of Her Majesty the Queen, and the Ministry of Education to recognize outstanding young women who demonstrate excellence in preserving and promoting Thai cultural heritage. The selection highlights achievements in Thai etiquette, traditional performing arts, handicrafts, and creative communication while fostering pride in Thai identity among the younger generation.
As part of this distinguished recognition, Ms. Nicha received a royal certificate of honor graciously bestowed by Her Majesty Queen Suthida Bajrasudhabimalalakshana. The award reflects her dedication to preserving Thailand’s rich cultural heritage while exemplifying integrity, volunteerism, and meaningful contributions to society.
The award presentation ceremony was held on August 1, 2026 at the Royal Jubilee Ballroom, Challenger Building, IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center, Muang Thong Thani, in the presence of representatives from government agencies, educational institutions, and women's organizations nationwide.
