MUIC Hosts Group Support EP.2 on Caring for Aging Parents

The Welfare Unit of Mahidol University International College (MUIC) organized and hosted Group Support EP.2, entitled, "How to Take Care of Aging Parents," featuring Asst. Prof. Titima Wongviriyawong, a specialist in Geriatric Medicine from Siriraj Hospital.

The session was held on November 29, 2024, at Charinyarasami Hall, Aditayathorn Building. The event aimed to provide insightful knowledge and practical advice on various aspects of caring for and supporting older adults.

A total of 30 participants joined the session both onsite and online. They gained valuable insights into recognizing signs of stress such as mental fog, overthinking, and emotional instability.

In her closing remarks, Dr. Laddawan Jianvittayakit, Associate Dean for Environment and Sustainable Development, emphasized the importance of understanding common causes of stress when dealing with older adults. She highlighted strategies to maintain self-esteem and foster positive communication, contributing to better relationships and care for aging family members.
