MUIC Seminar Tackles Pressing Issues of Data Privacy and AI Ethics

Mahidol University International College (MUIC), through its Central Administration Office,

organized a seminar entitled, “PDPA Is Not as Scary as You Think: How to Use Data and AI Safely and Confidently Across the Organization” on February 9, 2026 at the Spectrum Screening Room, Aditayathorn Building. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yingyot Chiaravutthi, Associate Dean of MUIC, delivered the welcome remarks.

The seminar featured expert talks by Dr. Nawanan Theera-Ampornpunt, M.D., Ph.D., Advisor to the MU President and MU Personal Data Protection Center Advisor; and Asst. Prof. Dr. Sotarat Thammaboosadee, Assistant Dean for Organizational Digital Transformation, Faculty of Engineering, and MU Personal Data Protection Center Advisor. Both of them provided practical guidance on PDPA compliance and the responsible use of data and AI in the organization.
