Demonstrating its commitment to academic and operational excellence, Mahidol University International College (MUIC) received the Educational Institution Award for the ninth consecutive year during the 10th MU Safety Day ceremony held on April 28, 2026 at Prince Mahidol Hall.
In addition, MUIC also received the MU Safety Standard Certificate 2025 (Excellence Level) and a symbolic token of safety. Mr. Kittirat Pruethong, Manager of the Aditayathorn Building, accepted the institutional awards on behalf of the college.
Underscoring MUIC’s high standards, its Chemical Laboratory was recognized with the Laboratory Safety Award from Peer Evaluation. Dr. Chaleena Pimpasri, a faculty member of the Science Division, received the award on behalf of MUIC.
Prof. Piyamitr Sritara, MD, FRCP, President of Mahidol University, presided over the ceremony hosted by the Center for Occupational Safety, Health, and Environmental Management (COSHEM), and also personally handed the awards.
The event's main objective was to cultivate a strong awareness of occupational health and safety within the university's work, teaching, and learning spaces. It served as a platform to encourage both staff and students to acknowledge and adhere to Mahidol University's safety regulations, comply with health and environmental standards, and exchange effective strategies for risk prevention and emergency preparedness within their respective departments.
