Three talented International Relations and Global Affairs (IRGA) sophomore students from Mahidol University International College - Model United Nations (MUICMUN) Club participated in Training Simulation #2 hosted by Thammasat Model United Nations (TUMUN). The event took place from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm on October 26, 2024 at Thammasat University’s Tha Prachan Campus.

The three students—Tawan Lairaksa, Metawee Phethin, and Apiwich Yuckphan – were provided with the opportunity to immerse themselves in complex diplomatic scenarios. By taking on the roles of delegates from various countries, they were challenged to engage in advanced negotiations, tackle pressing global issues, and work collaboratively to draft comprehensive resolutions.

The primary objective of this activity was to equip participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel at upcoming MUN conferences. By honing their critical thinking, public speaking, and strategic negotiation abilities, MUICMUN members gained a deeper understanding of global diplomacy and international relations. Additionally, the collaboration with TUMUN fostered a sense of community among MUN enthusiasts and provided valuable insights into different approaches to MUN.

This training simulation served as an invaluable platform for MUICMUN members to refine their diplomatic skills and prepare for future challenges. By actively participating in these simulated scenarios, they gained practical experience and confidence, empowering them to represent MUIC with distinction in future international MUN conferences.
