The Mahidol University International College Model United Nations Club (MUICMUN) hosted "PetitMUN" on July 3, 2026, marking the organization's first conference open to external participants since its founding in 2019.
Held at MUIC Building 1's Seminar Room, the one-day conference brought together 24 delegates representing various institutions, including Mahidol University, MUIC, and other universities. Operating under a simulated UNESCO committee, participants debated "The Question of Preservation and Accountability on East-West Cultural Heritage."
The discussion centered on international disputes surrounding historical sites, stolen artifacts, and text preservation affected by past armed conflicts and colonialism. Delegates representing both former colonial powers and post-colonial nations presented arguments regarding ownership claims, restitution, and international preservation responsibilities.
