A delegation of six Mahidol University International College - Model United Nations (MUICMUN) Club members attended the MUN Thailand Networking event on November 16, 2024 at Kasetsart University.

Two sophomore students of the International Relations and Global Affairs (IRGA) major, Tawan Lairaksa and Metawee Phethin, represented Pakistan and Djibouti, respectively, at the UNSC Conference on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. They showcased exceptional diplomatic skills, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of international relations.

Additionally, two more IRGA sophomore students, Pimradapas Dontresanoh and Pornpiseth Semson, observed the UNSC Conference, gaining valuable insights into the intricacies of UN diplomacy. Their participation allowed them to learn from experienced delegates, analyze negotiation strategies, and enhance their understanding of international relations.

MUICMUN Club President Jiratt Pluemthanom and Treasurer Sopitnapa Sakkakit, who are both junior IRGA students, attended the executives’ meeting. The assembly brought together MUN executives from various universities across different parts of Thailand, including Chulalongkorn University, Thammasat University, Srinakarinwirot University, Naresuan University, Chiang Mai University, Mae Fah Luang University, and Rangsit University.

The assembly also agreed to collaborate on joint initiatives, including workshops, conferences, and mentorship programs. Additionally, they discussed plans for the next MUN Thailand Assembly, which will be co-hosted by MUICMUN Club and Chulalongkorn University MUN.

MUICMUN Club's active involvement in these international events highlights its commitment to providing students with opportunities to develop essential skills in the areas of critical thinking, public speaking, and diplomacy. By participating in such conferences, MUICMUN Club members gain invaluable experience and contribute to the MUN community.
