The Music Club of Mahidol University International College (MUIC) hosted a "Sound Engineer" workshop, equipping participating club members with practical skills for upcoming events throughout Trimester 3 of Academic Year 2025–2026.
The workshop was held at the Music Room, 2nd Floor, MUIC Building 2, on May 5, 2026. The event aimed to provide students with practical knowledge and experience in sound engineering for future club events and performances. The activity was led by Mr. Sorapol Asawakarnjanakit, an audio-visual officer, who served as the guest speaker and instructor throughout the workshop.
During the session, the 20 participating students learned about the basic principles of sound systems, including audio mixers, microphones, speakers, amplifiers, and cable connections. Students were also introduced to proper equipment setup, sound balancing techniques, and troubleshooting methods commonly used in live events. In addition to the theoretical knowledge, participants had the opportunity to practice operating sound equipment in real situations under the instructor's guidance.
The workshop encouraged teamwork, communication, and hands-on learning among club members. Participants gained valuable technical skills and confidence in managing audio systems for upcoming activities and performances throughout Trimester 3 of Academic Year 2025–2026. Overall, the activity was both educational and beneficial for students who are interested in music production and event organization.
