The Theatre Club of Mahidol University International College (MUIC) organized a competition for people who are interested in designing costumes and set designs for stage productions, the winning entries of which would be used in the club’s upcoming production.

The competition—participated in by 10 contestants—ran from October 20 to December 6, 2025 and was held at Room A537, Aditayathorn Building.

The competition consisted of two parts: set design and costumes. The competitors were required to come up with a set design based on the first scene of Frankenstein and to submit also a written description of their concept. Moreover, they have to design costumes including make-ups for the characters, also from the first scene of Frankenstein.

Although many of the competitors said that it was their first time to do a design for a theatre production, the club’s officers were impressed with all the entries.
