Mahidol University International College’s (MUIC) American Flag Football Club successfully wrapped up its second annual Flag Football League on July 1 at MU Soccer Field 2, bringing together students of all skill levels for nearly two months of high-stakes, competitive play.

Running from May 13 to July 1, 2026, the tournament was inspired by the structured format of the MUIC Soccer Club’s league. To ensure competitive parity, team leaders utilized an innovative draft system where each captain was allocated an equal budget of points to purchase team members. Higher-skilled players commanded higher point values, resulting in balanced, multi-tier rosters across the board.

The strategic team composition forced athletes from diverse academic backgrounds and experience levels to adapt, driving players to unleash career-highlight plays under pressure. MUIC alumni also returned to campus to officiate the games as referees, guaranteeing fair play and maintaining standard league regulations throughout the event.

The league concluded with a competitive podium finish across four main placement teams, led by student event organizer Pornkaeo Sae-Chong (Senior, Biological Sciences).
