The Volunteer Club of Mahidol University International College organized “5 Days Camp” from July 23 to 27, 2024 at Ban Tha Yiam School in Lopburi Province.

This off-campus activity allowed 34 volunteer-students to assist a school in a rural area by building new facilities including benches and classroom walls.

The volunteers also engaged with the young pupils through Brain-Based Learning (BBL) activities in English, science, career guidance and art workshops. The aim was to enhance both academic and practical skills of school children in rural areas.

The camp’s success was measured not only by the physical improvements to the school but also by the acquisition of essential soft and hard skills by MUIC students. Teamwork, leadership, creativity and communication were highlighted as key areas of development for participants.

Overall, the Volunteer Club received overwhelmingly positive feedbacks from both the local community and participants, who enjoyed the activities and the friendship they made during the camp.
