The Animal Lovers Club organized a “Paw Patrol” activity on January 17-19, 2023. A total of 20 student participants joined the 3-day “Paw Patrol.” Each day there were 6-7 students accompanied by 1-2 club staff members who visited the Salaya Mahidol Dog Shelter located inside the Mahidol University Salaya campus.

“Paw Patrol” is the Animal Lovers Club volunteer program wherein participants get the chance to bathe, walk, and play with the dogs in the shelter. Participants benefit from this activity as it  is a great stress reliever.

Meanwhile, the dogs get the opportunity to socialize with new people, helping them in correcting their fearful or aggressive behaviors by increasing the number of positive experiences they have with humans.

The money raised from Animal Lovers Club’s first activity, “Rise of the Guardians,” was used to buy supplies for the dog shelter, like dog treats, brushes, food, and other items. Through this activity the club also helped promote the shelter and the activities that they offer there. The club said it hopes that these student volunteers will join the next activity or at least spread the word to their friends about this place so that the dogs there have a higher chance of adoption.
