On Tuesday, October 8, 2024, Roong Aroon International School in Bangkok hosted an engaging workshop as part of the CAM Project, led by Dr. Matthew Ferguson, Chair of the Humanities and Languages Division, and Asst. Prof. Dale Konstanz, Associate Dean for International Affairs, both of whom are from Mahidol University International College (MUIC). This collaborative initiative aimed to inspire creativity and community engagement among students through the art of street photography.

Communication Design student Ms. Munazza Munabir also joined the workshop, working directly with Roong Aroon students to provide guidance and feedback on their street photos. Participants were introduced to the fundamentals of street photography, including the overall concept and basic techniques, laying a solid foundation for their creative exploration.

The workshop included hands-on activities, allowing students to apply what they learned by capturing their own images around the school. At the end of the session, students shared their photographs with the group, fostering a supportive environment for discussion and learning.

The CAM Project, funded by MUIC and designed with the help of Communication Design students, offers a comprehensive teaching and learning kit that includes a guidebook for educators, engaging presentations with videos and motion graphics, and downloadable handouts for students. This initiative not only enhances artistic skills but also encourages students to see their surroundings through a new lens, cultivating a deeper appreciation for their environment.
