Mahidol University International College’s (MUIC) Genscape Club, in collaboration with Film Club, hosted a “Movie Night” featuring “On the Basis of Sex,” a biographical legal drama that highlights Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s early battle for gender equality. Ginsburg was a lawyer who later became an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court in the United States. It centers on her groundbreaking case challenging gender discrimination, playing a pivotal role in shaping her legal career and advancing women’s rights in America.

Held on November 13, 2025 at the Seminar Room in MUIC Old Building, the activity attended by 37 students aimed to bring the community together through an inspiring and thought-provoking film experience where students could reflect on the movie’s themes.

Following the screening, students joined a reflection session to share their thoughts, insights, and personal connections to the movie’s message, sparking meaningful conversations.

Overall, the event aimed to create a reflective and engaging space where participants could explore the themes of equality, justice and women’s rights.
